VLF high voltage test sets of the HVA series from b2 electronics are the most advanced VLF AC/DC hipot test equipment of its kind available. They perform voltage withstand tests on MV and HV cables at frequencies from 0.01 Hz to 0.1 Hz and incorporate the lightest and the most compact VLF test sets of their kind.

b2 electronics offers the widest range of VLF test sets on the market, starting with the compact devices weighing only 14 kg / 31 lbs and a maximum output voltage of 21 kV_rms / 29 kV_peak (HVA28) up to a van or trailer mounted device with 141 kV_rms / 200 kV_peak (HVA200).

Characteristics

Unlimited operating time

HV generators are designed for continuous operation without any thermal limitations.

Dry system (up to 120 kV)

HVA test sets are constructed with nonarcing contacts and no need to change the oil. This eliminates the routine servicing and makes the test sets almost maintenance-free.

Small and lightweight

The HVA series are the smallest and lightest VLF hipot test sets available. This makes them widely applicable for in-field use.

Dual Discharge Device (DDD™)

An additional mechanical discharge unit acts as backup to the electronic discharge device and doubles the operational safety of all HVA series hipot test sets.
