TD diagnostics

In connection with hipot testers of the HVA series, systems for Tan Delta (and Partial Discharge) measurements can be built. They are either integrated into the high voltage source (HVA models), into the PD diagnostic system (PD models) or available as dedicated external device to upgrade existing HVA hipot systems. Tan Delta measurements are performed with resolution of 1x10-5 with an accuracy of ± 1x10-4

PD diagnostics

b2 electronics offers the widest range of solutions on the market, from portable and modular PD instruments up to trailer-mounted systems for voltages up to 141 kVrms
PD diagnostics can be carried out simultaneously with the TD diagnostics. This saves time and prevents pre-conditioning of the cable by the first of two sequential tests.

Characteristics

Compact and portable

Our TD and PD systems have been designed for maximum portability and on-site use. This makes them utilizable for versatile applications, e.g. off-shore.

Simultaneous TD and PD measurement

Included (or extendable) diagnostics units allow parallel measurement of TD and PD levels, resulting in significant time savings and preventing negative influence on the results of a second test carried out due to feeding high test voltages during the first test.

True modularity

All our high voltage cable test sets can be easily extended to any HVA test set, with corresponding voltage range, to a complete diagnostics system. This keeps the initial investment low.

Automatic mode

With the corresponding b2 Suite software, you get manual and incremental test modes with self-explanatory menus, as well as a fully automatic measurement mode reducing operation efforts.
