PD30-E
Partial Discharge diagnostics system

Diagnostics of medium and high voltage cables provides the opportunity for early detection of vulnerabilities, allowing preventative maintenance work to be carried out before the cable fails in service. PD30-E offers both portable and built-in solutions for diagnostics, as well as a precise analysis of cables, their joints and terminations.

Performance: PD30-E combines in a single device HV filter together with coupling capacitor, making it compact and highly efficient at the same time.

Application: Suitable for testing XLPE, PE, EPR and PILC cables up to 100 km.

PD localization: Precise localization of PD faults in cables with the accuracy 1% and resolution 0.1 pC per 0.1 m.

Complete system: In combination with the HVA28TD device (not in scope of supply), PD30-E creates a full-featured and full-value system for 30 kV output voltage scope.

Compliance: PD30-E device is in compliance with the guide IEEE 400.3 and the standard IEC 60270 with its local derivations.

Characteristics

COMPACT AND PORTABLE

With its weight only 19 kg, PD30-E has been designed for maximum portability and on-site use. This makes it utilizable for versatile applications, e.g. off-shore.

True modularity

All our high voltage cable test sets can be easily extended to any HVA test set, with corresponding voltage range, to a complete diagnostics system. This keeps the initial investment low.

Automatic mode

With the corresponding b2 Suite software (mandatory for PD test sets), you get manual and incremental test modes with self-explanatory menus, as well as a fully automatic measurement mode reducing operation efforts.

POWERFUL DATABASE

The convenient search function of the comprehensive b2 Suite database allows fast comparisons with past PD measurements and performing reproducible measurements.

Your Benefits

  • pure sinusoidal output voltage with stable frequencies
  • manual or automatic diagnostics mode
  • PD-locating and phase-resolved presentation of PD
  • precise measurement of PD level

  • high noise suppression by filtering
  • signal amplification: 0 - 52 dB (1. channel) | 0 - 72 dB (2. channel)
